Hmong 500 is an initiative specific to the Hmong people - a distinct population group originally from China that was forced to migrate to Vietnam and neighboring countries because of political oppression and persecution. Our goal is to support 500 church planters to train, disciple, and evangelize for rapid multiplication of indigenous churches throughout the Hmong population in five countries.Heresy Brings Truth to Light in the Hmong Region One church planter named Pastor Phuoc shared how his own introduction to Christ spurred him on to tell others in the Hmong region of Vietnam. Pastor Phuoc went to a large city and brought back a few Bibles for the group to study and learn about the truth of Christ's teachings. Their faith began to grow, but the church they planted stayed very small. God's Message Takes Root Eventually God opened up the doors for Pastor Phuoc to meet some other church planters who provided him with spiritual and practical help and leadership. The work in Pastor Phuoc's home region flourished. Today there are 11 churches and 1,000 believers. Pastor Phuoc shared:
