Pastor Lorenzo's missionary teams met together to travel to a conference. As they waited for the open truck that would take them, we were blessed to hear each worker's testimony as we distributed to them clothing, shoes, antibiotics, and other medicine that would help minister to their needs. They shared with us their passion for church planting and discussed recent victories for Christ.Marialena is a vibrant young woman who came to Christ three years ago. After she chose to follow Christ, Marialena worked full time as a geriatric nurse and part-time as an evangelist, planting churches with Pastor Lorenzo's teams. Eventually, with the help and financial support of WorldServe, Marialena left her nursing career to pursue ministry full time. Four months ago, doctors diagnosed Marialena with uterine cancer, but through her team's prayers, her body was healed. In a recent examination, Marialena's doctors gave her a clean bill of health. Her tumor was gone, allowing her to continue in her ministry. Maria commented, "My ministry is to go door to door with Marta, my co-worker, sharing the gospel. I also teach and preach the word and oversee two house churches. We lead Bible studies and do discipleship, but materials and Bibles are almost impossible to get. Can you help us?" |
