However, currently WorldServe has a wonderful opportunity because both the Cuban and U.S. governments have allowed WorldServe to openly provide Bibles. WorldServe is working to provide one million complete Bibles and many more New Testaments and tracts over the next two years.

Church Planting: Cuba 2,500
$25 to support a pastor for one month
Over the next five years, WorldServe will double the number of house churches in Cuba by planting over 2,500 new churches. We will equip them with the tools necessary to become independent and plant additional churches. This growing network of churches enables us to effectively distribute the Gospel in Cuba and provide aid for weather-related disasters.

Cuban people must often contend with forces of nature and the devastation caused by hurricanes. However, hurricanes can also be an opportunity for God's glory to shine through and to demonstrate the love of Christ in action. The Needs for Friends program prepares WorldServe to be "ground ready" for immediate response to the needs of Cuban people during disasters—showing mercy in times of crisis through Cuban churches.
